With seven offices around the island and years of experience, ISLAND MAIDS believes that hiring a domestic helper is not a one-size-fits-all solution. The nationalities of Foreign Domestic Workers that we source are from the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Mizoram (India), and employers can shortlist and interview from a vast pool of helper candidates.
Our Own Maid Hostel in Central Singapore
Island Maids also operates our own Maid Hostel that is approved by MOM and URA as a Migrant Domestic Worker Hostel. This gives our clients the assurance that the upkeep, safety and well-being of their helpers are taken care of during their stay with us. It is fully equipped with a dining and a pantry hall where food and snacks are all within reach. Helpers have access to clean rooms, beds, and linens to ensure their stay is comfortable so they can start employment well recharged.
Our Own Transport Fleet
Completing the process for newly arrived helpers requires a lot of coordination and transport arrangements. These includes travelling all over Singapore to clients’ homes, respective Embassies, airports, hotels, medical centres, the Ministry of Manpower, our Branch offices, etc. Our dedicated team of drivers work tirelessly to ensure all aspects are taken care of so that our clients can enjoy a seamless process when they engage our service.
Approved Training Partner for AIC
We are also an Approved Training Provider for Home-based Eldercare courses, in which family members, loved ones and helpers can enroll themselves to be trained in the comfort of the elderly’s (care recipient’s) home, in order to provide the best standards of caregiving possible for the elderly.
Complimentary Local Training
Upon your helper’s arrival in Singapore, we also assist for free: a simple but necessary mindset integration course to welcome your helper and acquaint her with Singapore’s culture, basic housework training and a fundamental understanding of the local scene of domestic home care needs.
Ongoing Support
Along the way if need be, your helper can also receive counselling or be sent to us for more training to adapt to changes in your home care demands.
